Birthplace: Isabela, Puerto Rico GOALS for 2008: I would like to be a member of Puerto Rico Surfing Team to represent my beautiful island in the World Surfing Games and the Pan-American Surfing Games while focusing on maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average in school. Also, I would really like to compete in a Jr. Pro contest either in the east or west coast. In 2008, I am going to be pushing myself in big waves. In Puerto Rico, we have a good opportunity to get comfortable in bigger surf and that is one of my main goals for 08 and the future. If I were given the chance to compete in the PRO contest in PR, like the Corona, that would be awesome, and it would give me an opportunity to learn from the best here on the island along with giving me experience in the PRO-contest world. My ultimate dream is to surf and compete in different countries. For me, this is the best way to prepare for future contests like the ALAS Latin tour and WQS. . Easterns at the Outer Banks, NC and got 5th in the region. - Member of Eastern Surfing Association Puerto Rico Council competed at the Eastern Surfing Championships at Cape Hatteras, NC.
- Compete at the Easterns at Nags Head, NC in 2007.
- I have established a very good relationship with Mundo Rad magazine and with photographer Chad Oakley. I have been in the magazine in Grom Search and other sections of Mundo RAD.
- Invited to attend the Grom Search 2007 in California.
OTHER SPORTS - Played baseball for 7 year while living in St. Marys, GA and played in the Camden County traveling team for 3 years. Currently, I am in the Ramey School Soccer team in Puerto Rico.
YEARS SURFING: Began surfing at 5 years old and stopped at 7 because I moved to Georgia. I surfed during the summer and when I returned in 2004 I continued at the age of 11. OCCUPATION: Student TYPE OF BOARDS: Short board Erie shaped by Erie Peeples in FL. SPONSORS: Split, Cobian, Oakley, sex wax, FCS, & Erie surfboards. LOCAL SPOT: I love to surf in Jobos Beach and Middles in Isabela, Puerto Rico and Wilderness in Aguadilla. FAVORITE MANEUVERS: tubes and airs but mostly tubes. BEST LOCAL SURFER: Jobos PRO – such as Brian and Wesley Toth, and Dylan and Josie Graves SURF TRIPS: I surf through out Puerto Rico places such as in Rincon, Aguadilla, Arecibo, San Juan, etc.; anywhere where I could find waves. I have surfed at South Carolina – the Washout at Folly Beach etc and various spots at the Outer Banks, NC. I would love to surf in other countries. MUSIC: I play the guitar and listen to anything that sounds good such as alternative rock, Spanish rock, some Reggaetton, etc | |
